On 19 September, European legislators, e-commerce players, their representatives and the wider stakeholders will gather for an exchange of views on the solutions put on the table by the European Commission regarding the taxation of the digital economy. The issue of fair taxation of the digital economy is high on the agenda of the European Union. While some Member States favor the interim Proposal for a Digital Services Tax, presented by the European Commission in March 2018, others see it as a threat to European businesses and competitiveness and thus favor a global solution at OECD level.
This Roundtable, organized by the European e-commerce association, will offer its participants an opportunity to discuss ideas on how to make sure that the taxation of the digital economy will be fair for all actors involved.
Please note that this event is by invitation only. However, if after the registration period some seats remain available, other interested participants may be able to join. Those who might be interested in attending can express their interest by sending an email to info@ecommerce-europe.eu.
