Ecommerce Europe Round Table session on Cross-Border E-commerce

The Ecommerce Europe Round Tables are organized across Europe in cooperation with national e-commerce associations. The Round Tables take place in a dinner setting, with the objective to bring leading European online merchants and cross-border e-commerce experts together. They provide an informal, high quality forum on cross-border e-ecommerce and can discuss cross-border opportunities and barriers. An international key-note speaker gives a presentation on topics like latest facts and figures and trends in the European online retail, best practices, regulatory opportunities, or key challenges faced by professionals in cross-border e-commerce.

The next Round Table on Cross-Border E-commerce, hosted by Retail Excellence Ireland, the Irish National Association will take place in Dublin on 29 September. The theme will focus on the growth of cross-border e-commerce and the opportunities and challenges this brings to Irish and European retailers. The event is a unique occasion for directors and Europe’s online elite to come together and discuss new ideas. Attendees will share best practices and exchange information on topics like payments, logistics, marketing possibilities, market data and implementations in the industry. The Round Table is also a good occasion for Ecommerce Europe to present in exclusive the key 2015 infographics for the Business-to-Consumers (B2C) e-commerce Irish market. Finally, participants will be able to hear an inspirational presentation from Karen Golden, Manager at Kennys Bookshop and Art Gallery Ltd will give an inspirational presentation. The family business has continued to adapt and innovate since 1940 – web folklore has it that Kennys was the second bookshop in the world, and the first commercial company in Ireland, to go online. Since then there has been a continual evolution of their Digital Marketing Strategy, spearheaded by Karen, to meet the challenges of ever changing technologies, consumer requirements and the competitive environment.
